Your healing
begins today
Let’s get to the root cause of your dysfunction and find you long-lasting relief.
Our Method
-
✽ Evaluation ✽
Your first experience starts with a New Patient Initial Evaluation. You have the option of a standalone evaluation or an evaluation paired with a treatment.
At this evaluation you will receive a comprehensive intake of your current health status and health history, diagnostic exams, and more to create the complete picture of you.
At the end of the evaluation you will receive an assessment and individualized health care plan.
-
✽ Treatment ✽
Acupuncture Treatments are 60 minute sessions that include check-in’s for return appointments, acupuncture, and relevant adjunctive therapy such as moxibustion, ear seeds, and more. Cupping & GuaSha can be added on to your treatment.
For those looking for an expanded treatment that includes Acupuncture and manual therapy such as TuiNa, cupping, & GuaSha. These 90 min sessions will include manual therapy for at least 45 minutes in addition to a complete acupuncture treatment.
-
✽ Plan ✽
The number of acupuncture treatments you need depends on the complexity of your illness, your general health, and whether it is a chronic or recent condition.
For chronic cases, remember — your health challenges didn’t appear overnight, it will take more than one treatment to fully address them.
Most patients with chronic conditions begin to feel relief from the first treatment, but long-lasting change requires multiple treatments within a short timeframe, usually 2-3 months.
To support these goals we have developed wellness plans with discounted rates to enable you to take control of your well-being, come often, and keep a routine. The wellness plans also include herbal prescriptions, and nutrition & lifestyle recommendations.
How to prepare for your first treatment:
Grab a Snack: Have a light meal or snack a few hours before your appointment. It's best not to be too full or too hungry, so something like fruit, nuts, or a small meal works great.
Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water before your session. Staying hydrated helps your body respond best!
Dress Comfortably: Wear loose, comfy clothes that are easy to roll up past knees and elbows. This way, we can easily access areas like your arms and legs for treatment. We will also have gowns and blankets to cover-up if you prefer to undress.
Skip the Coffee and Alcohol: Try to avoid caffeine and alcohol for at least 2 hours before your session. These can make it harder for your body to relax and enjoy the treatment.
Chat with Your Acupuncturist: Be open and share any health concerns or goals with Izabel. The more she knows, the better Izabel can tailor the session to your needs.
Take Deep Breaths: During the treatment, focus on taking deep, relaxing breaths. This helps your body to relax and get the most out of the acupuncture.
Plan to Relax After: After your session, try to take it easy. Acupuncture can make you feel super relaxed, so it's a good idea not to schedule anything too strenuous right after.
